Hannibal 2013 TV Show Review

 

Hannibal is a new crime, drama and horror tv series came out this year. Hannibal tv series is the adaptation of Hannibal books. Seeing the promotional trailer of  the tv show, I was curious already to know what we could look forward and see on this upcoming show. And so I waited and when its pilot episode was aired II eagerly watch it from the beginning until the end and keep thinking on the upcoming episodes.

 

The Pilot Episode

 

Watching the very first episode of the show it already made me think that it was a nice and an interesting program. I could say that it will be one of most beautiful tv shows that came out this year. At first I thought the pilot was a rehash of the Red Dragon or Man Hunter, but thankfully it was not. This show was loaded down with several things occurring. It was quite intriguing, entertaining and fascinating. From the beginning, the colors were already beautiful and eye-catching. It seems you were watching a film every week.

 

Dialogue is well composed

 

When it comes to dialogue, it was fantastically composed and in character. It was perfectly created and it suited to most of the characters. It showed a combination of horror and creative thinking.  This mixture made an interesting mental horror. But, one thing that I observed here that I don’t like is Dr. Hannibal Lecter’s accent. His accent was more on fluffy harsh German accent. It was much better to be on a higher class accent. Still, he did a very good acting here.

 

Characters

 

The characters were great. Will Graham provided first-class character for most of the time he came out. It was an appealing character with impressive depth in his part. Mad Mikkelsen as Hannibal was also great on his acting but I have a problem understanding on some of his dialogues because of his thick accent. Laurence Fishburne was also playing his character well. Perfect chemistry of Will Graham and Alana Bloom were shown on screen. Brian Zeller and Jimmy Price characters here are quite annoying and dreadful. They were doing some comedy scenes but it seems it didn’t fit in the series.

 

Visuals and Sound

 

The visuals are very colorful and vibrant. It fitted on the series and a few of the murder scenes were outstanding. A few of the visuals on some scenes were striking like when Hannibal was preparing food for his guests. Perfectly chosen soundtrack, it really built tension for a horror show like this. The sound effects created a horror and creepy atmosphere.

 

Flaws

 

Even though it was a great tv show, but there were still flaws in it. After watching 6 episodes, it appears that crimes turned a bit lack of definite plan or order. It didn’t connect to the storyline on the overall. 

 

Ending

 

Altogether, this tv show was still great and worth watching. I think there were more positive points and less negative points on this tv series. Viewers will still love to watch this Hannibal 2013.
